Ramme is a unofficial desktop app for instagram. This is a multiplatform application, based on Electron. It also allows you to browse Instagram, search, comment and like the photos of other users, manage your own profile and see the notifications that come to you. As icing on the cake, this new version of Ramme will allow us to upload images from our desktop. This was something that was clearly what its previous versions lacked to be a good option as an Instagram client.
Ramme is a wrap around the official Instagram website. The application will provide us with specific features for mobiles on non-mobile platforms. In addition, it also makes a couple of its own adjustments, such as a custom sidebar.
This means that Ramme is only capable of doing what the Instagram API allows it to do. You cannot upload videos, apply filters, or edit the photos you upload. But as you will use this application from the desktop, since you are in it, you can edit and apply filters using applications such as GNOME Photos, Photoshop or GIMP and then upload them using Ramme.
These things that we can do in the Ramme application, will not be transferred or redirected to the browser in each action. This will prevent, as with other applications, what we thought was going to be a fast and light experience, from becoming a martyrdom. We will not have to spend time opening and closing the browser to update the actions of our profile.

As I have already said, Ramme has in addition to the typical functions of social media applications. It also allows us to use some of its functions with keyboard shortcuts (if you use a Mac, change Ctrl for Cmd):

The application implements a responsive design. This one gives Ramme a good look regardless of how the app resizes on the screen.
Another good function that this application gives us is that it comes with a background behavior function. This means that when you close the window, the application will continue to run in the background.
If you want to exit the application, just click with the right mouse button on the icon that will be displayed in the notification tray on the desktop. There we will have to choose "Exit" to completely close the application.

As this is a cross-platform application, it doesn't matter what operating system you use. You can use a Mac, Windows, or Linux to upload images to Instagram. Remains equally agile on all platforms.
