We will also have a limited amount of pumps and ropes to navigate the caves. Levels are randomly generated and grouped into increasingly difficult "areas," each with a distinctive set of items, enemies, terrain types, special features, and more.. If while we play we lose all our lives or get caught in an instant death trap, we will have to start from the beginning.
In the caverns we are going to find all kinds of dangers. There are traps, poisonous snakes, aggressive bats, bloodthirsty vampires, primitive ape men, and other hideous things that can get you in trouble if you're not careful going down the cavern. The player can also find damsels in distress trapped in the caves, which can be collected and led to an exit. Doing so successfully restores the player to health.
Install Spelunky Classic HD on Ubuntu 20.04
Spelunky Classic HD is available in Snapcraft as snap package and is maintained by the community of Snapcrafters. To install it on our Ubuntu system, we will only have to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and use the following command to start the installation:
sudo snap install spelunky
