Kodi has a more general interface and, although it has improved in recent versions, I think it still leaves a lot to be desired in this regard.
Stremio, the alternative to Kodi also uses addons
Stremio, like Kodi, makes use of addons to be able to access all the content that it can offer. But there is an important difference: as soon as we install it we can use it. Going to the addons settings, the puzzle icon, we can download more, all from the app and all official. You can also create your own, but it is not necessary, it has everything we could want installed or accessible from Stremio.
Installing Stremio is very simple: it is not in any repository, but they have created a .deb package compatible with almost all Debian-based operating systems, like Ubuntu and derivatives. This means that simply opening this link, download it and double-click on it or directly open it with our favorite package installer. It weighs very little, but it works perfectly. And if it doesn't fail me in the future for not finding something, Stremio will become my favorite program for this type of content both on my laptop and on my Android TV.
