Termius, an interesting alternative to remote control in Ubuntu?

Laptops are becoming more and more popular, and having a minipc like the Raspberry Pi is not unheard of. That is why more and more novice users are going to use tools such as SSH programs more frequently. SSH is a communication protocol that allows us to control a computer remotely. It is useful if we want to control a machine, a server or simply a mediacenter remotely.

For Ubuntu there are many tools, from the popular Vinegar to the simple ssh tool. But they are not the only tools that exist. It has recently become popular a tool called Termius. A tool that allows us to use the ssh protocol through the console, but with some extra functions.

Termius allows us to make secure ssh connections; one of the most important points to take into account when using such a tool. It offers us several encryption options; possibility to import passwords and make multiple connections to multiple hosts.

Termius has two versions, one free and one paid for all users

The problem with Termius is that It is not a totally free tool but it has two versions, a freemium version and a paid version that offers full functions. In addition, Termius comes in snap format, so its installation is done by typing in the terminal:

sudo snap install termius-app

The installation will be fast and in a short time we will be able to use the ssh protocol to control our equipment. Now the question is Is this tool really worth using?

Personally, I think that in this aspect using Termius is not a good option, at least if we need the paid version. exist many good and free alternatives to connect with another machine. What's more, Ubuntu offers these tools even though they are not in snap format, but functional in Ubuntu Desktop and Server. But the choice is yours.
