The official development of Ubuntu 18.04, the next stable and LTS version of Ubuntu, began a few days ago. A version that we can already enjoy on our computers, although we will not have the stable version but we will have a daily version.

The development team of Ubuntu has released the first version daily, a version that they use to work with it and that is updated every day, with improvements and bug fixes. A version that is not recommended to be used on production computers but it will help us to know the news of the next version of Ubuntu.

The daily version, as its name suggests, is a version that is released and updated every day. This means that each day that passes will be more stable but it can also have a fatal error and our team also by extension. Hence, it is recommended to use the version in a virtual machine or on a computer that we do not use as a production computer. In any case, you can get the daily image through this link.

Following this release, the Ubuntu 18.04 schedule continues as planned, for which it is expected that next January 4 we have the first alpha version of Ubuntu 18.04, a version that will bring together all the news and changes that have appeared in the dailys versions of these days. During the month of March the first beta version will be published and On April 26, the final and stable version of Ubuntu 18.04 is scheduled to be released.

About the news of the version, we know little new thanks to this daily version, the only thing that has been confirmed is that there will be no 32-bit version of Ubuntu 18.04, something that we already knew for a long time due to Canonical itself and the Ubuntu developers themselves.
