At the end of this week we will know the new Ubuntu Phone update, OTA-12. An update that will correct many bugs that the operating system still has, but will also include news that will significantly improve the performance of certain devices such as the BQ Aquaris M10.
A tablet that is increasingly presented as an inexpensive and almost free alternative to the iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface Pro. Devices that make the user have a desktop anywhere and that now the BQ can also have it.
Canonical has published a proud video of the news from the OTA-12 to the BQ Aquaris M10 tablet
And the Canonical team is proud of it, for that reason they have published a video with the operation of the tablet after receiving the new OTA-12. This operation not only offers better performance but also allows us to use Ubuntu Convergence without using cables, something that Provides Aethercast and bluetooth device, without forgetting the management carried out by Ubuntu Phone in the operating system. Although we have to say that the technology will not be called Aethercast but Wireless Display, a menu that we will find in Settings-> Brightness and Display. There we will find the menu where we can connect our television or monitor with the tablet.
Personally I think that this OTA-12 is important for certain users but surely it is nothing for the future and present of the operating system since Aethercast knew it working for months.
And yet it is something important for mobiles or phablets that have Ubuntu Touch since it is easier for a user to carry a mobile than to carry a tablet Do not you think? Still I think the BQ Aquaris M10 stands out for its landscape mode that brings us closer to the Convergence and not by being able to connect to the monitors, which on the other hand is not bad for it to do so.

They would have to fix a bug, because on my bluetooth keyboard, the Alt key does not work. I think it also happens with others.
