ToutOnClick is a free and open source application was developed by Alain Delgrange on the Gnu / Linux platform since 2009, it is written in the Python 3 and PyQt 5 programming languages and it is distributed under the GNU GPL public license.
ToutEnClic was developed for teacher, Christelle Bourlard in order to overcome the physical disability of children who cannot use the usual tools, such as rulers, pencils, compass, but able to use a computer.
This application allows us to work on our computer screen on a previously scanned document. The application allows them to be able to create a document in different formats with a solid color background.
Se you can create in the desired format, default layout and desired color or you can also make use of a preset A4 template.
It is possible to import a scanned page, in which the application asks for the initial format to adjust its size and proportions so that they are really in the scale of the tool.
ToutEnClic allows you to adjust the thickness of the paths, the color of the paths and fills, and their level of transparency. Every action performed is kept in memory to allow rollback.
ToutEnClic produces files in XML format for the extension. TEC and allows export in JPEG or print them.
Simultaneous use of tools like ruler, compass, protractor, square, and magnifying glass is made easy and a simple mouse click on one tool brings it to the fore compared to others.
New version of ToutEnClic
This application has received a new update reaching version 5.02 it is stable and compatible with any 32 or 64 bit operating system, since it is now distributed under Python scripts.
Between thethe main new features of the application we can highlight that now it is possible to create a document in different formats with a solid color background.
Se facilitates simultaneous use of tools (ruler, compass, protractor, square and magnifying glass) and a simple click on a tool brings it to the fore compared to others.
The tool control currently in use is visible by default on the upper left edge of the document.
A page that can be created in the default format (Default A4), layout (default portrait) and color (default white).
It is possible that when importing a scanned page ToutEnClic ask for the initial format to adjust their size and proportions so that they are actually scaled by the tool.
Once the document is uploaded to the work area, the child can:
- draw a line
- write freehand
- draw a pointer
- draw an empty or complete ellipse
- draw an empty or full rectangle
- delete
- select an area and copy it to another location
- crop an area and copy it to another place
- insert an external image into a delimited area
- use a ruler, protractor, square, compass, and magnifying glass
- write a text using a specific virtual keyboard for ToutEnClic or any other input device
- counts on your fingers using a graphical tool that represents four hands
- show an overview of the document in another window.
How to install ToutEnClic on Ubuntu?
To be able to install the application in our system We must have support for Python and perform the following steps:
First we must Download the app from the following link, done this now we just have to unzip the file.
We will access the folder result and let's look for the file touteclick.py.
Now they just have to double click on this script to start this software.
They can create a shortcut to the application creating a file in the following path /home/user/.local/share/applications/ where user is your system user and must contain the following file.
[Desktop Entry] Terminal=false Name=ToutEnClic Path=/home/user/ToutEnClic/ Exec=/home/user/ruta/a/ToutEnClic/toutenclic.py %u Type=Application Icon=/home/user/ToutEnClic/toutenclic.png
And they save the file with whatever name they want, but with the following extension .desktop.
