tusk profile options

The developer of this software offers some official methods that make the installation of this program very easy. In the releases page we are going to find official packages for Debian / Ubuntu, among other distributions. Among the possibilities for installation we will find .AppImage, snap, or .deb packages.

If you are a fan of AppImage files, you just have to download the corresponding file and make it executable (chmod u + x filename) and then double-click on the file. When executing it, we will have the option to choose to integrate the AppImage into our system.

If you are one of those who prefers install programs using a .deb package, to start you will have to download it from the releases page. To do this, you can download the file either from the web browser or by opening a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and typing in it:

download tusk with wget

wget https://github.com/klaussinani/tusk/releases/download/v0.23.0/tusk_0.23.0_amd64.deb

Once the download is finished, in the same terminal and from the folder in which you have saved the downloaded file, you will be able to install the program by typing:

application install command

sudo dpkg -i tusk*.deb

Si the terminal returns an error message related to dependencies, it can be solved by typing in the same terminal:

sudo apt-get -f install

After installation, we can only find the program on our computer and start using it.
