It will also allow us to clean the old kernels, update the program to the latest stable version of the operating system, installation of the main kernel (this option is not recommended as it may cause possible incompatibilities), among other options.

In the last tab, called "Repair”, The application will allow us to carry out some actions aimed at repair inconsistencies in our operating system. The user will be able to check the integrity of the system, repair the network or the missing GPG keys among other options.

Install Ubunsys on Ubuntu 17.04 / 16.04 and Linux Mint

When using this program, remember to be very careful. This application exposes advanced security functions and also contains errors since at the moment it is in alpha state.

If even after that warning, you are still interested in installing and testing this application, you can install it in several ways. So much from a file .deb as from its corresponding PPA.

If instead of the .deb file, someone prefers to use the console and the application PPA to install Ubunsys on Ubuntu / Linux Mint, they will only have to open the terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and copy the following commands into it.

sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:adgellida/ubunsys && sudo apt update && sudo apt install ubunsys

Uninstall Ubunsys

We can get rid of this program in a simple way. We open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and first we eliminate the application by writing the following command.

sudo apt remove ubunsys

And we continue to remove the repository from our source.list. To do this, in the same terminal we now write the following.

sudo add-apt-repository -r ppa:adgellida/ubunsys
