Ubuntu 16.10 will have Unity 8, Snappy Personal and Mir by default

Canonical has been working on Unity 8 for a long time, and they are always asked for their official launch pad. The latest information received from the developers confirms that Unity 8 will appear on Ubuntu 16.10.

Ubuntu developers are not working alone on Unity 8, and it will not come with an update to the current Unity 7. In fact, there are many more components that have to come with Unity 8such as Mir video server or personal Snappy packages. These things are linked to each other, and they are not going to come in episodes.

Instead of proceeding in the same way as when they abandoned GNOME 2 in favor of Unity, this time for Ubuntu 16.10 they want to take it much more calmly. This way they can make sure everything is in place and there are no mistakes. And while Unity 8 looks a lot like Unity 7 visually, there will be some very significant changes.

Just think about the fact that XNUMXrd party themes and icons will no longer work, at least not at first, and it will cost until the rest of the community catches up. The Ubuntu 16.10 team wants to have Unity 7 as the default desktop and Unity 8 as an option for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, giving developers and users six months to learn how the new desktop works.

Since all of these components are complex pieces of development, it is impossible to accurately predict that they will be available in Ubuntu 16.10, but this is now the Canonical lens. Even so, we may be surprised by the arrival of Unity 8 in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, and in the end Unity 7 may continue to be mandatory and the new version will arrive as an option in Ubuntu 16.10. That time will tell.

I'm sorry and although I'm not against free software (I say it so there is no confusion) it can't be that to configure the sound latency issue you have to go around modifying system files themselves or that all free instruments sound like junk or that Jackd and Pulse continue to fight like cat and dog, is incoherent in the XXI century.
I was tested on a computer that we have for tests with the guitarix, my father has a guitar amp and that guitarix doesn't have a natural or clean sound, it sounds very junky three-quarters of the same with the SF2s out there on the internet that don't sounds more than junk.
That is why I use MacOSX with your Garageband and when with OpenShot or Cinelerra you can make some themes as cool as the imovie then let me know, it is not coherent that a USB sound card disappears because if when you suspend the computer or run the Jackd we go a Kos
