The daily versions of Ubuntu 17.10 are now available

Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 beta 2

We have known the name of Ubuntu 17.10 for days and it has not been long in coming the launch of the first daily versions of the distribution. As with Ubuntu Zesty Zapus, Ubuntu will release daily versions almost daily and at some point it will release special versions that it will call Alpha and Beta. But behind was the traditional development where the developer only had access to the alpha versions.

As for news, we still don't know anything new about Ubuntu 17.10. If we know that it will be a version where it will work so that Ubuntu 18.04 can meet the LTS version standard.

We know that Gnome will be the default desktop for this version (Ubuntu 18.04 has not been expected as the new CEO advised); Ubuntu Gnome will cease to exist as an official flavor to be the main version and the session manager will remain LightDM, although there is already talk that Ubuntu will switch to GDM as session manager. Unity will still be in the Ubuntu repositories but it will not be the default desktop.

Ubuntu 17.10 will have Gnome as the main desktop and we can already see it in the daily versions

The Gnome 3.26 program will be the desktop version that Ubuntu 17.10 brings by default as well as kernel 4.11 will also be the core of the distribution. It will not have an email client by default and the default web browser will remain Mozilla Firefox.

We don't know anything about the rest of the official flavors that Ubuntu 17.10 will have. And it's weird then Lubuntu is pending the move to LXQT, Kubuntu will update to the latest version of Plasma and Xubuntu will have to incorporate new updates to your desktop. That is, Ubuntu 17.10 is expected to come loaded with news and we can only know it through the discharge and installation of the ISO images of the daily versions of Ubuntu 17.10.
