Canonical Unveils Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo Mascot Image

Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo

It seems that the countdown has already started. Or so is meant by a tweet which has published the official Ubuntu account. In it they tell us that it's just 45 days until the Ubuntu 19.04 release Disco Dingo and show us what the image of your pet will be like. We remember that all versions of Ubuntu have the name of an animal and a "surname" which in this case is "Disk". The animal is a Dingo, known to be a like a wild dog from Australia.

We also remember that the image of the animal is not usually a drawing or something that looks realistic, but something more like what we would have at the beginning of a design work or a draft. The image they have published is a GIF in which we see the same drawing in six different squares, all of them changing color every few tenths of a second. The Dingo appears looking up with headphones that remind us of the Beats, but with the Ubuntu logo. He gives the impression of being a DJ dog, one who is really enjoying his work.

Ubuntu 19.04 reveals what your pet looks like

Only 45 days until Ubuntu 19.04 Disco Dingo is released! We have decided to turn on the disco earlier by unveiling our mascot. Party started.

Among the most outstanding novelties we have that the next version is expected to arrive with the Linux Kernel 5.0 (here an installation guide of the latest version that takes 24 hours available). Improvements are also expected in Connect, which will allow us to manage our Android devices from our PC, or more uniform icons thanks to a new version of yaru which is already developing.

Ubuntu 19.04 will be officially available from April 18. A month before, or what is the same in two weeks, Canonical will make available to anyone who wants to test it the beta version of its next operating system. Do you want to spend these 45 days to install Disco Dingo?
