Like every year, or rather every six months, Canonical has started the Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine wallpaper contest. The winners will appear as an option in the next Ubuntu version that will be released on October 17, but there is something that I think is important to mention: unlike other contests such as the Plasma graphical environment, the winners of this contest will not appear by default on the screen background, but we can choose them from the system settings.
Participating in the Canonical / Ubuntu wallpaper contests is very simple, you just have to follow some rules such as the images must be owned by the contestant; Nothing like what I have done in the header image of this article is allowed: search for an image online and modify it (if I submit it, will I win?). The size / quality of the image must be 3840x2160px, although that will be the final size, not the one that must be submitted to participate in the contest.
Ubuntu 19.10 will arrive on October 17
The images that want to enter the contest must be clean of watermarks and be licensed under CC BY-SA 4.06 or CC By 4.03 and it will be assumed that anyone who participates in the contest will agree to the license terms of the contest. There is more information about all this in this link. To participate in the contest, all you have to do is submit your images (come on, I won't submit mine ...) on the website that Canonical has enabled for it. One thing must be borne in mind: it is not necessary to deliver the original image, that is, the huge one of more than 3000px, but a smaller one that allows both to see the image and the page to load normally; if many large images were uploaded, it would be impossible to navigate through it.
The winners of this contest will appear in both Ubuntu 19.10 and Ubuntu 20.04, and this is because Will Cooke wants to have a "Best of" section in the version that will be released in April 2020. In that section will appear the winners of Disco Dingo, Eoan Ermine and "FAdjetivo FAnimal". Are you going to try your luck?
Pray Sayra to you that you enjoy photography
