Ubuntu 22.04 will use GNOME 42, and the new logo already appears in the Daily Build

Fresh start on Ubuntu 22.04

I don't know if you have noticed, but here in Ubunlog We have already updated the Ubuntu logo, which matches ours. We have done it because Canonical announced it officially last week, and has already started using it in the Daily Build de Ubuntu 22.04. If I am correct, they have started using it today, or very recently, since I have updated my Jammy Jellyfish installation and, when starting, what you see in the header capture was not like that.

What appears above has come out after restarting, and it has caught my attention because it does not look like what I was used to. They are already using the new logo, the new CoF (Circle of Friends or circle of friends) in the center and the full logo, with the name with the capital "U" and the rectangle, at the bottom. Logically, this design could change in the coming weeks, but we could also be looking at what we will see when we start Ubuntu in exactly one month.

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS will arrive on April 21

GNOME 42 on Ubuntu 22.04

No less important is what we see in the previous capture. Seen in "About" and confirmed on Neofetch, Ubuntu 22.04 is already using GNOME 42. More specifically, it is using its beta, but this means that the stable version will upload directly from version 40 to 42Just as many of us expected. And what we see in the following capture also draws a little attention.

Menu at 22.04

Until today, and in Impish Indri and previous ones, clicking on any of the options in the system tray saw the menu expand; from today, what we will see will be more or less the same, but in a different color. This way it is easier to understand that we are facing a new content, that is, we have opened something.

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Jammy Jellifysh is coming next April 21, with Linux 5.15 and many interesting new features.
