Ubuntu Budgie launches fundraising contest before its first version as official flavor

Ubuntu Budgie Funding Contest

As we have seen many times with other flavors of the operating system developed by Canonical, the Ubuntu Budgie team has informed the Linux community that it has started its contest to find the wallpapers to use in Ubuntu Budgie 17.04, which will become the tenth official Ubuntu flavor from, if there is no more surprise although the surprise would be that they did not get it, on April 13, 2017.

The developers of the next Ubuntu version that will use the Budgie graphical environment are looking for talented people who can create the best and most original images, and those who also want to show their work in the background of hundreds of thousands or millions of people around the world, something that will depend on the success of the next official flavor of Ubuntu.

How to Enter the Ubuntu Budgie 17.04 Funding Contest

As usual, the images can be delivered to the page they have created for it on Flickr. On the same page there are also some rules of the contest that are worth reading to make sure that all the requirements are met, since no one would like to waste time and then deliver an image that will not be accepted for some reason. The most important thing is that the images have to be submitted as Attibution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), which they have to be their own and that images that have already been submitted in other Ubuntu flavors and Linux distributions should not be submitted.

If you have everything clear and want to participate, you can access the flickr page of the contest by clicking on this link. Who knows? Perhaps your work is among the first funds to use the first version of a new flavor of Ubuntu in just three months.
