Ubuntu Budgie is the early riser again and is the first to open the Focal Fossa wallpaper contest

Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 wallpaper contest

Part of the news is that this is not news. It is not news that the Ubuntu family's younger brother is the first to do something. They are usually the first to make all kinds of movements and advance information, so much so that we must be careful with what they publish because sometimes they inform us of something that is not yet official. But what is official is that Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 has already opened its wallpaper contest.

Ubuntu Budgie is not the only flavor that launches these types of contests. The main version so does, but he usually opens it when the launch is a little closer. As we have already mentioned, Brother Budgie is usually always ahead and has opened the contest today. Those interested can access all the information in the article that you can access from this link. Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 is coming April 23

The Ubuntu Budgie team says that there are only two key rules for the image to enter the contest: if the image is not ours, they will have to link to the original source along with the author's name. This contrasts with the rule of other contests that, if a server is not mistaken, they usually ask that the images be our property. The second rule is that the image has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 so it looks good on 4K displays.

The above are the key rules, but there are also recommendations, such as that the images should not be very complex made up of many shapes and colors, that they should not have any type of mark (name or watermarks), they should not include the version of the system, there should be no offensive, sexual, violent symbols or references to drugs or alcohol. These recommendations are worth following because, although they are not part of the "key rules", they could reject any image that does not comply with them.

Interested users should upload their images to the link provided above. The results will be announced approximately one month before the official launch of Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 which will be on April 23 and the winners will appear as an option from the wallpaper settings.
