UbuTab, one of the most powerful tablets with Ubuntu Touch

ubu tab

A few days ago I told you about the launch of a tablet with Ubuntu Touch, Android and Tizen, Click Arm it was called this tablet. At first I thought it was the first tablet with Ubuntu Touch but thanks to a reader of ours who corrected us, I got to know UbuTab.

UbuTab is a tablet with Ubuntu Touch that started as a crowdfunding project and that currently you can acquire for a quite interesting price.

UbuTab is sold with Ubuntu Touch and with Android if you like. It has a 1.5 Ghz Intel Atom processor, 2 Ghz of ram memory and a 10 ″ screen. Along with these basic features, UbuTab has 64 Gb of internal storage for apps and the operating system, a microsd slot to expand this memory, Wifi, Bluetooth, microhdmi, microusb and a 5 Mpx rear camera.

UbuTab is one of the first tablets with an official version of Ubuntu Touch

The autonomy of UbuTab is quite interesting, about 11.000 mAh. that will give an autonomy of approximately 5/7 hours, although if Ubuntu Touch is used, I personally believe that the autonomy will be greater.

The prices of this tablet are quite interesting, on the one hand there is the basic UbuTab for a price of 329 dollars and then there are several models with an additional hard drive that increases or decreases the price. Thus the most expensive UbuTab has a 1Tb solid state hard drive in addition to the 64 Gb of main memory.

The most interesting thing about UbuTab, at least that's how I see it, is that it will be the first tablet to use Canonical's convergence since in addition to using Ubuntu Touch, you can use a mobile keyboard that at one point can be a great alternative such as laptop / tablet running Ubuntu. With UbuTab we already have three tablets with Ubuntu Touch, something that is slightly larger than many other mobile operating systems, although this does not mean that it is better than other systems like Tizen but at least it ensures a great future.Do not you think?

It is very good that tablets that incorporate Ubuntu begin to appear, this will also make more and more apps appear that can also be used on phones.

It is very good news to know that we can already buy a tablet with one of the best Linux distributions, despite the fact that Android has a lot of market, I am not betting on getting the most out of a device with the Android operating system.

It is very good but the price is not interesting at all, having very good performance tablets for half the price… ..

Although it is Ubuntu Touch, and since it is an Intel processor, is it possible to install the usual applications?

Incredible I hope to be able to do everything I can do in Ubuntu Desktop, because that is what I lack in an Android tablet and if you could put a not very large extra thin keyboard like those of the Wind tablet…. An extra slim laptop that doesn't get too hot and where you can do everything would be nice
