uNav 0.59 GPS updates and allows you to zoom by pinching

unav version 0.59

The default GPS navigator for smartphones with Ubuntu Touch Mobile system get a new update, version 0.95, which includes a series of small improvements. According to the announcement made, uNav, which has been baptized with the name of "beauty and the beast", presents a new navigation structure where the possibility of carrying out searches for locations, favorite points (POIs) or coordinates directly from the menu bar.

There has also been a redesign in the user interface, which has been renewed from a study carried out on the experience of the users themselves in their daily use with the application. As a result of this, the three functions that should be developed for this new version of uNav have been found: details in the POIs, reverse geocodes and pinch zoom.

The new version of uNav is available from Ubuntu's own store for all those devices that support it. As soon as you download it, you can see your new logo design, color enhancements made on the application bar and contrast optimization on the zoom buttons, which are now much more visible on the background of the map where they are positioned.

Another feature implemented in this version is the ability to show all information related to a POI if pressed and held on the point of the map, a function that will presumably be expanded in the future to be able to get more out of it within the application.

Finally, in this version the option to pinch zoom, a well-known gesture that is present in a large number of applications, so it was missing in this program.
