Visual Studio Code 1.14 adds new improvements

It has been a few weeks since Visual Studio Code version 1.14 was officially released A Microsoft code editor widely criticized by the Linux community, Microsoft made the editor's source code available to everyone by making it open source.

After this, the changes and improvements that it has been making in the code editor have improved it, since this has support for various languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, various variants of C, Java, SQL, PHO, Ruby, Visual Basic or JSON among many others.

This new version of Visual Studio Code has been completely rewritten, with it integrates several parts of the terminal which now allows to have several very useful and interesting features, such as selecting and copying text from more than one page of the terminal, it incorporates an option to select all, improved double selection click, incorporated a feature to search the terminal among others.

Visual Studio Code 1.14 Add TypeScript 2.4.1 which includes new language features, bug fixes, and editor improvements.

This new version also add automatic code indentation being able to cover not only the writing, but also the pasting and the dragging of lines, being a quite useful feature.

How to install Visual Studio Code 1.14 on Ubuntu?

To install this application we can do it downloading a software package in .deb format. This can be purchased directly from the software page or using this link that I provide.

Visual Studio Code 1.14 for 32 bits | 64 bits

We can install from the terminal with the command:

sudo dpkg –i visual*

Or just by running the file and the software manager of your distribution will take care of the rest, generally just double click on the downloaded file.
