WhatsDesk for WhatsApp
WhatsApp has long become the most widely used messaging app on the planet. But just because it's a famous app doesn't mean it's the best. Unlike Facebook Messenger, Telegram and many others, WhatsApp needs to run reflecting what happens on our smartphone, that is, if the phone is not working and connected to the Wifi network, the web version will not work. Desktop versions of WhatsApp Web have also been launched and today we are talking about whatsdesk,
Some time ago we were talking about whatsie. Like practically all software to run WhatsApp Web, Whatsie worked very well, but the main problem is that it could give an error when it was installed. At best, multiple command lines had to be entered. The main difference between Whatsie and WhatsDesk is that the second will be found in the Snap Store, which will allow us to install any update as soon as it is available. It is also compatible with more versions of Linux. Next you have how to install WhatsDesk.
Install WhatsDesk with a simple command
To install this version WhatsApp Web desktop, it will be enough to open a terminal and write:
sudo snap install whatsdesk
Why install a desktop version and not enter from the browser? Well to begin with, because they are lighter. To continue, because if we are working in several programs in addition to the browser, as I do many times, every time we want to open the browser we will have a more open tab or, what is worse, another window, which will cause that when we click on the browser shows us the option to choose a window and let's waste time.
For everything else, WhatsDesk doesn't offer anything special. It is basically the same as using Whatsie, WhatsApp Web or Franz, with the difference that in the web version of the service it does not show notifications if we don't use a compatible browser. We will also have the application icon on the top bar.

After installing this app on my computer, will it require any code that I must receive in the andriod app in order to access my WhatsApp account?
Hello Omar. No. WhatsApp does not have full versions that are not for mobile. Everything else (tablet, desk, clock, TV ...) are reflections of the mobile. What you have to do is scan the QR code with your mobile and leave the mobile on.
A greeting.
If what you are concerned about is the privacy of your whatsdesk conversations, simply use the web version of whatsapp and place it as an application adding notifications, it has no major complications.
I wanted to install it on Lubuntu 18.04 32-bit and it won't let me, unfortunately WhatsDesk is only available for 64-bit GNU / Linux.
