This application will make available to users effects to give a touch of originality to your creations, as well as watermarks and the possibility of saving a list of touches that you use regularly to apply them with a mouse click.

Install Xnconvert on Ubuntu 17.10

Before starting with the installation of Xnconvert in our Ubuntu system using a package .deb, for this example I am going to install gdebi. If you already have it installed or prefer to use another installation tool for .deb packages, this step can be skipped. If you want to install gdebi, open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and write in it:

sudo apt install gdebi

Once the installation is finished, we can download the .deb package using wget. In the same terminal, we will only have to write:

sudo wget http://download.xnview.com/XnConvert-linux-x64.deb

Once the download is finished we can proceed to the installation using gdebi as follows.

sudo gdebi XnConvert-linux-x64.deb

After the installation, we will have XnConvert installed correctly. We can start the application by looking for it among the programs installed on our computer. We can use the Ubuntu search field to find and start the XnConvert application. Once the application is open, it will look something like the following image.

XnConvert conversion screen

When we have the program screen in front of us, we will see that it has a fairly simple interface. It has a central workspace and upper tabs whose names already explain them by themselves.

In the tab “Home" we will can open the images we want to process dragging or opening them using the "Add files" button.

XnConvert screen actions

In the tab “ActionsWe will define what will we do with the images. The option "Departure from”Will help us to establish where and how they will be stored. And in "Settings" We have some program options such as the possibility of defining the language or when the program should check for updates.

Uninstall xnConvert

To eliminate this program from our system we will only have to open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and write in it:

sudo apt remove xnconvert

I've been looking for a program of this type for Linux that is simple for basic things and in Spanish. What needs to be done to get it to work on xubuntu 16.04.3?

    Thank you.
