Xubuntu 16.04 LTS will introduce small changes, such as changing the colors of the themes

Changing theme colors in Xubuntu 16.04 LTS

As all Ubunlog readers you will already know (and if there is any mishap I will inform you now) next April 21 the Xenial Xerus version of Ubuntu and all its official flavors will be officially launched. These new versions will all arrive with many changes, such as the ability to move the launcher from the left side to the bottom of the desktop in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. But what we are going to talk about today is a novelty that will arrive in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

The novelty we are talking about is that from the next version of Xubuntu you will be able to change theme colors that we have chosen. The Xubuntu developers say (and it is true) that customization is one of the strengths of Xubuntu and Xfce, so they have decided to create some applications to make it even more customizable with the intention of offering a complete experience.

Xubuntu 16.04 LTS will be even more customizable

Xubuntu theme settings

As you can see in the header image, they have added an option that is available on the route Menu / Settings / Theme settings. There we will see a box like the one in the center of the header image in which we can modify the colors of the selection, the background color of the panels and the menus. In the example image you can see how the color of the bar and notifications has been changed to yellow, while what is selected appears in red.

To make everything easier, they have also added some switches o toggles that will be able to activate or deactivate the change. Logically, once any modification has been made, you will have to click on the Apply button or the changes will not be made. It seems like a minor change, but it is always good to be able to put anything to our liking. What do you think of this novelty that will arrive with Xubuntu 16.04 LTS?

That is not new, it has been available in Xubuntu 4 for about 15.10 months, I do not remember if it is also in 15.04.

Maybe it will bring improvements because that application comes in Xubuntu for a long time installed by default at least I remember that the 14.04 LTS brings it.
