Xubuntu 22.04 opens its wallpaper contest for Jammy Jellyfish

Xubuntu 22.04 Funding Contest

With each new release of a version of Ubuntu, a wallpaper contest is opened. The winner usually sees their creation included as an option in the Ubuntu wallpaper settings or an official flavor, as is the case with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Jammy Jellyfish is still two months away, but Xubuntu has been among the first to open the contest. He has not been the first because he always has a more unruly and early riser brother, who is none other than Ubuntu Budgie.

For everything else, this wallpaper contest Xubuntu 22.04 LTS is not much different from the rest. They have already reported that the images can now be delivered to participate in the contest, that they will stop collecting on March 12 and that at the end of the same month they will announce who the winners have been, six in total.

Xubuntu 22.04 will arrive on April 21

In addition to seeing their creations in the Xubuntu 22.04 background gallery, winners will also receive stickers from the operating system. The terms and Conditions are available in this link, which states that images must not contain brand names or trademarks of any kind, any illustration that some may find inappropriate, offensive, hateful, tortuous, defamatory or libelous, sexually explicit or provocative images must not be included , or weapons or violence, or consumption of alcohol, tobacco or drugs. Designs that promote intolerance, racism, hatred or harm against groups or individuals will not be valid either; or that promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. In the last point they also say that they will not accept religious, political or nationalist images.

El size should be 2560 x 1600 or more and, if it has been based on another design, report it, that is, give credit to the original artist. In the other rules section it is said to avoid numbers, texts and some logos, including Xubuntu's.

Xubuntu 22.04 LTS is coming along with the rest of the Jammy Jellyfish family on April 21.
