Zorin OS Lite is a distro based on Ubuntu with an appearance similar to that of Windows. More specifically, it is based on Lubuntu, Canonical's "flavor" designed for the most resource-limited teams and which, for now, uses the LXDE desktop by default.
The Zorin OS project offers a flexible and multifunctional operating system with software exclusive. It has been designed from the ground up to be installed on resource-poor machines as well as older computers that might not otherwise enjoy the advancements and benefits of a modern operating system.
Due to its nature focused on novice users, Zorin OS Lite calls itself "the gateway to Linux". The system has been created in such a way that it can be used by many newcomers to the Penguin operating system, especially many former Windows XP users who are looking for a stable and reliable distribution to land on.
Zorin OS Lite can be downloaded or as an ISO image for 32-bit systems - we remember that it is a moderate version in terms of requirements - that can be recorded on a DVD or that can be downloaded onto a USB drive.
In the moment of boot Zorin OS from USB a home screen will appear from which you can start a session live with default options or in safe mode, as well as installing the system directly or running a memory test. Come on, the usual every time we start a session live Linux.
Familiar and easy-to-use desktop environment
As we already discussed in the first paragraphs, LXDE is the default graphical environment for Zorin OS Lite. It incorporates a single toolbar at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to access the menu, launch applications and interact with running programs or work with the icons in the system tray.
As default applications we can find google chromeplatforms, Geary mail client, AbiWord, Audacious, GNOME MPlayer, Gufw firewall, and Synaptic package manager.
By way of conclusion, we can say that Zorin OS Lite lives up to its name. It will be a good way to revive old machines and bring Linux users a stable, reliable, free and easy-to-use distribution that can replace Windows XP on any old computer.

Hi, I wanted to ask about resources, how does it compare with the other distro like xubuntu or ubuntu?
The consumption of resources is practically the same. The main difference between these distributions is the base applications that Zorin OS has installed. In the case of Xubuntu and Ubuntu, it is practically the same operating system with some insignificant difference, while in the case of Zorin OS you have default applications such as Chrome or Geary. In Ubuntu and Xubuntu you must install them yourself.
excellent article, currently I use manjaro, but I feel that it is a lot of system for two gigs of ram, I will try with this to see how it works.Thank you for the contribution.
