Registration for the III Edition of the Open Awards will end on April 11

As is happening in recent years, the events surrounding OpenExpo Europe in June have already started. As has been customary for three years, the Open Awards are held in March and April. In particular it will have place the III Edition of the Open Awards.

A contest where the best products related to Free Software are awarded. Helping them for a year with various tools and especially with advertising.

The awards ceremony will be held during the same OpenExpo Europe that will take place on June 6 and 7. However, the submission of candidatures will have a deadline. This date will be April 11; after which, A popular voting process will open from April 18 to May 16 and the winners will go to the hands of a jury that will deliberate and decide in favor of the best Free Software project.

But, during this III Edition, there will not simply be three awards, but will be awarded based on the categories that have been created. So there will be prizes for the following categories:

  • Best Service / Solution Provider
  • Best case of company and / or public administration success
  • Best digital transformation: Large Company
  • Best digital transformation: SMEs
  • Best Technological Community
  • Best medium or blog
  • Improvement of the project in Transparency, Citizen Participation and Open Government
  • Best Big Data project
  • Best Startup
  • Best Cloud Solution
  • Best Platform / Most Innovative Project
  • Best App

These awards They do not have any economic endowment but it will be widely disseminated among the event's users, the sponsors and the participating companies. This for any event would not be much, but OpenExpo Europe has become one of the largest Free Software events where more and more companies and institutions from the technology sector participate. In the last edition, there was a massive participation, also affecting the Open Awards that registered more than 130 projects.
