Recientemente the launch of the new version of the Linux distribution Zorin OS 15, which is based on Ubuntu version 18.04.2.
For those who are still unaware of Zorin OS, they should know that this eIt's an Ubuntu-based Linux distribution with a visual look quite similar to the one we can find in Windows 7 with its Aero interface, which on the other hand we also find the classic style with which Windows XP had.
The target audience for the distribution are novice users who are used to working on Windows.

For example, when working at night, the intensity of the blue color on the screen automatically decreases, making the color gamut warmer to reduce eye strain and reduce the occurrence of insomnia when working before bed.
With that the ability to automatically activate a dark theme at night is implemented and an option is provided for customizable selection of wallpaper, depending on the brightness and colors of the environment.
Also featured is a new special desktop design with increased indentation, which is more convenient for touch screens and gesture control.
As well as the addition of a button to the panel to enable the "Do not disturb" mode, which temporarily disables the display of notifications.
Another major feature of the system that stands out is the addition of built-in support for installing self-contained packages in Flatpak format and in the FlatHub repository.
Of the other characteristics No less important that stand out from this new version of Zorin OS 15 we find:
- Changed the design of the application launcher
- The basic structure includes an application to save notes (to do), which supports synchronization with Google Tasks and Todoist
- Redesigned interface to configure the system, translated to use the side navigation bar

- Aggregate experimental session based on Wayland

It is an excellent distro. It's been almost four years since I left the Windows world and opted for Gnu Linux. I tried various distros and finally settled on Zorin Os. The reasons? It is very similar to Windows, therefore the learning curve is very low; it is very stable and fast, as well as very visually appealing. Finally I decided on the ultimate version which presents, among other advantages, support, very necessary for novice users like me.
Today I have purchased the paid version Zorin Os 15 Ultimate and I am very satisfied. It is fast, it does not consume excessive memory, and they have also corrected small errors present in Zorin Os 12.4. I have installed it on all my computers as I use Gnu Linux for both work and play.
The price does not seem excessive to me, comparing it with Windows, it is also a way of supporting developers. There is a misconception that free software should be free, yet there are several hours of work behind that deserve respect.
Zorin Os seems to me an excellent alternative for those who come from the world of Windows since it is quite similar in its appearance, so the learning curve is quite low. In addition, being easy to use it is ideal for those who, like me, just want a system that works so we can focus on productivity.
