GNOME celebrates the release of GNOME 42 among this week's news

Capture tool in GNOME 42

Like every Friday for months, GNOME published another article last night about new things you are working on and others that have already reached your world or circle. Being published already late on Friday, sometimes we echo instantly, but others, like today, we write the article already on Saturday. All things considered, it's only been a few hours and they're not specific major release items either, so it's not a tragedy.

But if this particular article has taken longer to arrive, it has been because something on the server where thisweek.gnome.org is hosted has been failing and showing the “502 Bad Gateway” error. It was known that they had published an article, but the slug of the URL did not even give us clues as to what the post would be called. For more INRI, KDE, a project that also publishes its work on weekends, has delayed its article until tomorrow. Some time later, when the GNOME domain was already accessible, we were able to consult its content and publish the news this week.
