It is unusual news and seems like a joke in bad taste typical of April Fool's Day or April's Pools, but it is true. At the end Google has classified an Ubuntu torrent as illegal and it has prohibited it within its search engine so it cannot currently be found through Google. But How is it possible? Canonical what did you say about it? Is Ubuntu illegal?
The truth is that everything is due to an error or misunderstanding, that is, Ubuntu follows and is legal in all aspects and anyone can use Ubuntu torrents without having future security problems.
The story begins when Paramount begins to search for infringers with his movie Transformers. Apparently on an illegal download site they put the Ubuntu 12.04 torrent as an alternative to the Transformers movie. Paramount asked Google to remove all torrents from this site Relating to Transformers and Google, surprisingly, the Ubuntu 12.04 torrent ban has been complied with quickly.
We imagine that the error will be corrected soon, but in the meantime, Ubuntu 12.04 torrent will be illegal in Google's eyes. Fortunately, only this torrent has been prohibited, so we can continue to find the rest of Ubuntu torrents and their flavors on Google.
As you can see it all seems like a joke but it is true, something that can happen to anyone since it is a false positive and now it seems that it has been Ubuntu's turn. False positives in these topics are being portrayed as a great evil, an evil that in many cases is worse than piracy. If Google really had taken all the Ubuntu torrents, the bad thing would have been great. Fortunately it has remained a fun anecdote for all or maybe not? What do you think? Do you think the situation is serious?
Skynet is failing

Windows activators first, then this ... What's next? ??
they don't even take the decency to check the links. a massive sweep is what they apparently do. and so thousands of links that do not infringe copyright are killed by googleneitor.
