Gradio will allow you to listen to the radio on your PC with Ubuntu

degree

Are you looking for an application to listen to the radio on your Ubuntu PC? Well, stop looking: degree is a great (for good) application that will allow us listen to a large catalog of public radios. All we will have to do is perform a search, click on one of the stations and then on the play button. Could it be easier?

Among the stations available in Gradio there are many well-known ones, such as the Spanish Radio Nacional de España (many of them), the SER or the top 40. But its database will not only allow us to listen to the same stations that we could tune in from any radio, no. If, for example, we are looking for a type of musicLike Heavy Metal, this little application will offer us a few stations. Logically, the more a style is heard, the more radios there will be and the more options it will offer us.

Gradio offers us 4614 radio stations

Gradio uses the web database RadioBrowser that at the time of writing this post has a total of 4614 radio stations, which is said soon. With so many stations, it is difficult for us not to find something that we like, someone who does not usually listen to the radio tells you.

Its interface is very intuitive. On the main screen we have two tabs: Library y Discover. The first tab will be empty the first time we start the program, but that is where it will be will save our favorite radios after we click on a station and then on the plus symbol (+). In the tab Discover is where we can search for radio stations. By clicking on one of them, in addition to the possibility of saving it as a favorite and playing it, we can also access its web page by clicking on the house icon (some do not work) and a heart indicating how many have clicked on it indicating that they like the station.

How to install Gradio

Installing this little application is very simple. We just need to download one of the following .deb packages, run them, and install them with our preferred package installer. By default, in standard Ubuntu it will be installed with Ubuntu software.

So now you know: maybe you "were" looking for an application to listen to the radio in Ubuntu. Gradio is the ultimate app.
