The new version of HandBrake 1.3.3 has already been released and is available for public download.   • Fixed handling of overlapping SSA import subtitles
  • Improved support for out-of-service SSA captions as allowed by the specification
  • Added a patch to fix libdav1d cross-compilation using GCC 10.x (quality of life improvement)
  • Updated libraries: FFmpeg 4.2.3 (decoding and filters)
  • Fixed missing E-AC-3 encoder option

How to install Handbrake on Ubuntu and derivatives from PPA?

For those who are interested in being able to install this new version, they can do so from the application's PPA where we can obtain the application updates in a faster way, than compared to the previous method.
