Currently web applications are very popular and important for many users. For Ubuntu users they do not represent a problem since they can be accessed from the web browser. However, many users prefer to use the applications of a lifetime.

One solution for this was to use a function of Google Chrome or Chromium that allows us to create a webapp, but there are actually many other methods to do this. Today we propose to use a free service that will create an application for any web page. Applications for Ubuntu that we can create easily and without programming knowledge. The process is quite simple. First we have to go to a web service called Web2Desk, this service has a wizard that will automatically create the application for Gnu / Linux, Windows or macOS. And it also allows us to create applications for Ubuntu. The initial screen that will appear will be this:

First we have to insert web page url. Once we insert the web address, the logo or icon of the web page will appear at the bottom, this will be the icon of the application that we can modify. Below the URL we will find the field with the name of the web application that we will create. Now we press the «Create Now» button and it will direct us to a website where there are three sections, one for each operating system. After several minutes, a download button will be enabled in each of the operating systems and clicking on it will start the download of the created program.

We unzip the zip file and we will have an executable with the web page that we have created. The process is simple and the positive part is that we will not need Google Chrome or Chromium to make use of this, with the consequent saving of resources in the operating system. I have not yet checked the code of the applications it creates, but it is true that this function is very interesting for many novice users Do not you think?
