Improve the exposure of your photos with Macrofusion

Macro Fusion 1

For those who do not know, Enfuse is a tool that is used under the command line on linux with which we can create and mix images with a different exposure at all without having the need to produce intermediate HDR images that are formatted into a viewable image.

enfuse will allow us to carry out this process in a very simplified and fast way, all of this is possible thanks to the algorithms it uses such as tone mapping.

The use of this command line utility tends to be a bit confusing and complicated for newcomers to Linux and above all of them who have learned to use this tool for their editing work.

So they tend to think that carrying out this work on Linux is too complicated. That is why the Macrofusion project, an Enfuse GUI (graphical interface), was born in light of this problem.

About Macrofusion

macrofusion is a simple free application based on Enfuse that will allow us to merge two or more images into one, offering a greater dynamic range or depth of field.

Using Macrofusion It has a fairly simple and easy-to-use interface, it also allows many useful options, such as the ability to manage image saturation, contrast, and image exposure, and it gives us the facility to be able to operate on a preview to facilitate image fusion.

Macrofusion is primarily aimed at photographers and allows users to combine normal or macro photos for a greater depth of field (DOF or depth of field) or large dynamic range (HDR or High Dynamic Range).

For those who do not know the HDR is a set of methods used in photography and / or image processing in general, to extend the dynamic range (the section between the darkest and the lightest value of an image) and thus obtain the best capture of the image.

Just to better clarify this, depth of field is a range of distances around the focal plane where there is acceptable sharpness.

wget https://launchpad.net/~dhor/+archive/ubuntu/myway/+files/macrofusion_0.7.4-dhor4~trusty_amd64.deb

After downloading the program according to the architecture of your system, you can proceed to install the application with the application manager of your choice.

Hello. Thanks for the article. I wanted to comment that with the dhor / myway repository you can install many applications for photography such as Fotoxx, Mapivi, Photoflow, Shutter, Ufraw, etc. but it does not offer the Macrofusion package.
