The development of Ubuntu Zesty Zapus continues and it seems to be better than ever. As in previous versions, the developers set goals and milestones for themselves. These goals are not only being met but they are advancing stages.
We have recently learned that users of Ubuntu Zesty Zapus development versions already have the possibility of using kernel 4.10 in their development versions and thus report the problems that still exist in both versions (both in Ubuntu and in the kernel)
The latest stable version of the kernel, kernel 4.9.2 is now available for Ubuntu Zesty Zapus. This version is stable and if there are serious problems with kernel 4.10, this will be the version used in the distribution. Although we do not really believe that this happens.
The Ubuntu kernel, kernel 4.10 and kernel 4.9.2 are now available in the repository
Kernel 4.10 is under development and currently Ubuntu Zesty has the RC4 of this famous kernelOf course, these versions are not suitable for production equipment. But they can be used in virtual machines or development teams where there is no problem testing and experimenting with this software.
If you really are fans of having the latest version of the programs, surely that in the Ubuntu kernel team repository you will find both version 4.10 and version 4.9.2, versions that we can install in our Ubuntu, but in the case of kernel 4.10 it is highly recommended to use it, unless we want to have serious problems and in the case of kernel 4.9.2, although it can be used, it is an odd version, that is, a version that may still have serious bugs.
Ubuntu Zesty Zapus will be launched in a stable way within three months and it seems that its development is still on the right track despite not having alpha versions, something that is interesting and positive, don't you think?
