OpenShot Video Editor is a cross-platform non-linear video editing free software program.

The functions of changing the speed of the video (Time Remapping) have been redesigned significantly, as well as improved audio resampling, among other things, when playing a video backwards.
The Undo/Redo system has been improved, in which the group undo option has appeared: with a single action you can undo a series of typical editing operations at the same time, such as splitting a clip or deleting a track.

- Added support for rendering audio waveforms for audio-only files, allowing the Caption effect to be applied to such files.
- Work has been done to eliminate memory leaks and improve the efficiency of clip caching.
- Thanks to caching and additional optimizations, the performance of working with clip and frame objects has been greatly improved.
- Improved control with keyboard shortcuts.
- Bug fixes for animated titles of blender using high frame rate (incorrect duration)
- Bug fix for effect Mac Chroma Key (babl color methods)
- Bug fixes for the size change of the widget video preview , to correctly clear the cache
- Bug fix for transition direction logic automatic (i.e. appear/disappear correctly depending on where the transition is placed)
How to install OpenShot on Ubuntu and derivatives?
This new update is not in the official Ubuntu repositories, so you need to add your official repository, for this you will have to open a terminal and add the official repositories.
