Plasma 5.26.2 continues to fix bugs from the penultimate Plasma 5 series

plasma 5.26.2

As dictated by the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5…), albeit one day late, KDE launched a few moments ago plasma 5.26.2. Last week quite a few bugs were detected just days after the release of the zero-point version, which contrasts a bit with what happened this week. Today's release also fixes several bugs, but they took a bit longer to find. This is neither good nor bad, since, on the one hand, the fact that they are not found does not mean that they are not there, and, on the other hand, it could also result in a later identification.

KDE has posted several links for this release. One of them announces that there is a new version, in another you can read the full list of changes and in another you can download the code. In total, Plasma 5.26.2 ha fixed 51bbugs, although in order to take advantage of some corrections we will have to wait for another release, that of KDE Framework 5.100.

Plasma 5.26.2 now available

Among the novelties that have arrived together with Plasma 5.26.2 we have that, in the Plasma session Wayland, opening Dolphin from the Disks and Devices popup now lifts your existing window, if it was already open, or dragging and dropping windows into the Widget Pager now works much better, with less hassle. One of the new things that comes with 5.26.2 but won't work until Frameworks 5.100 is that an issue has been fixed that could cause input to go undetected when using the new mouse button rewind feature.

Plasma 5.26.2 has been announced a few moments ago, and anyone interested can now download its code. Although we are interested in using the new version, it is best to wait for our Linux distribution to add the new packages, something that KDE neon and the Rolling Release distributions will do beforehand. Debian-based operating systems can also add the Backports repository.
