Yesterday (June 11) the distribution was updated to a new version coming to BackBox Linux 6 where the new version updates the Ubuntu 16.04 system components to the 18.04 branch. The Linux kernel has been updated to version 4.18.

Updated versions of security testing tools. The ISO image is assembled in a hybrid format and is adapted for download on UEFI systems.

Requirements to run BackBox Linux 6

In order to run the system on a computer or laptop, you must have at least the following resources:

  • 32-bit or 64-bit processor
  • 1024 MB of system memory (RAM)
  • 10 GB of disk space for installation
