The new version of LibreOffice 6.3.5 only fixes about 80 errors

  • Editing password protected non-ODF files creates multiple empty files in the backup directory.
  • Fix where chart data ranges in Writer cannot be edited
  • A document with indented bulleted paragraphs saved to DOCX in Writer 6.2.1 looks wrong, but is fine when saved to DOCX from Writer 6.2.0
  • Fixed issues with rotated text not displaying correctly in a table
  • Compressing PNG files with alpha channel results in a black background
  • Solution to the problem that occurred when ordering multiple selected rows leads to CALC crashing

Now We proceed to download the Spanish translation package with:

And we proceed to unzip and install the resulting packages:

tar xvfz LibreOffice_6.3.5_Linux_x86-64_deb_langpack_es.tar.gz
cd LibreOffice_6.3.5_Linux_x86-64_deb_langpack_es/DEBS/
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Finally, In case of having a problem with the dependencies, we can execute the following command:

sudo apt-get -f install

How to install LibreOffice using SNAP?

We also have the option to install from snap, the only drawback of installing by this method is that the current version has not been updated in Snap, so you will have to wait a few days for this to be resolved.

The command to install is:

sudo snap install libreoffice --channel=stable

      Maybe I didn't know how to express myself, I was referring to the number of versions that you can receive before your support ends. Since version 7 is already in development and many expect that the 6.4 branch will only receive about two or three more maintenance versions to later move to version 7.
