Ubuntu 20.10 reveals its wallpaper, and it will not leave you indifferent

Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla

If I am to be honest, when I have seen the Ubuntu 20.10 wallpaper I thought "really?" And is that updating my Groovy Gorilla virtual machine there was a new package with the name "wallpapers", I installed the updates and what you see above these lines has appeared. It is very similar to what we have seen in Disco Dingo, Eoan Ermine and Focal Fossa, but this time there is something that stands out, or calls it to me.

The "Wonderful Gorilla" has arrived with some sunglasses. Yes, Ubuntu brand sunglasses, or simply with the logo of the operating system developed by Canonical. For everything else, it is once again a purple background with pinkish tones, as we have seen for many versions. As for the gorilla itself, we could say that it is closer to an image of a real gorilla than the Disco Dingo dog, but less than Felicity, Focal Fossa's mascot.

Canonical does not usually add the Ubuntu logo on your wallpapers, but it looks like it will when you include an item that should be branded. He did so with the disco dingo headphones, some that looked a lot like Beats, but whose logo was that of Ubuntu. In fact, headphones aside, the company that runs Mark Shuttleworth did not include the logo of its operating system for 15 years.

Personally, I don't know if they will add more wallpapers from here to the official launch of Ubuntu 20.10, since, if we look in the wallpapers section, right now we can only see the purple version of the Groovy Gorilla. We cannot rule out the possibility that in the coming days they will also add a version with whiter and gray tones. UPDATED: Yes there is a gray background. You can download both from this link.

Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy Gorilla will officially arrive next Thursday October 22 and it will do so with news such as Linux 5.8 or GNOME 3.38. The beta version can now be downloaded from the Canonical server.

The truth is, for users in Argentina the new image may have unhappy connotations… ????

I totally agree, although I like that background, does it not represent me at all?
