How to upload images on Instagram from our Ubuntu

Instagram Scope

Recently the popular social network Instagram has updated its application so that any user can upload images from the web browser. This is done so that users can use the social network without having to depend on the mobile app.

However, this new Instagram feature has a limitation And it is that it cannot be uploaded from a computer, but it has to be through a mobile web browser or tablet.

As many say, the law made, the trap made. And in Ubuntu we can make Instagram accept our photos to upload to the social network, We only need the Chromium browser, Ubuntu and an account in the aforementioned social network.

Once we have everything, we open Chromium (or Chrome by default) and go to our Instagram profile. Once we are there, we will see that we cannot upload images.

Change User-Agent in Ubuntu.

But this will change. Now we click on the three points that Chromium has on our right and we are going to «More Tools» -> «Developer Tools». In the side panel that appears, we go to the three points and in "More Tools" we select Network conditions.

The side panel will be divided into two parts and at the bottom we will uncheck the "Select Automatically" option and select a user-agent that is for mobile like «Chrome - Android mobile». After marking it, we will see how the options to upload images will appear.

As we have done is cheat the application, indicating that we use the engine of a mobile web browser when we are actually doing it from our computer with Ubuntu.

But such a trick works. Now when we're done, we have to remember to change the user-agent back for the web pages to reload correctly.

As you can see, it is a quick and simple trick that will allow us to upload images to Instagram from our computer and it is faster than using apps like Instagram Lite Do not you think?
