In the next article we are going to take a look at Return of the Tentacle. To all of us who like graphic adventures, which dominated the video game sector a few years ago, names like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, King of Quest or Maniac Mansion are familiar to us.

Day of the Tentacle, the second part of Maniac Mansion, has a sequel. This is an unofficial proposal, which the fans of the saga have brought to life. It has been dubbed Return of the Tentacle. The Adventure is available as a free download for Windows, Mac, and Gnu / Linux.

Day of the Tentacle wasn't just a sequel to Maniac Mansion, in itself was an adventure with identity. Without a doubt one of the best works of LucasArts. It is also one of the works where we could most enjoy the graphic art of Peter Chan. Without forgetting Ron Gilbert's delusional script.

Much was said at that time about the possibility of a sequel to Day of the Tentacle as it did with Sam and Max. This was another essential title for lovers of graphic adventures. LucasArts never ruled out that possibility, but over time the idea became more and more complicated. 25 years have passed since its official presentation, and finally we have good news.

'Return of the Tentacle - Prologue' is a project that, as I have written above, has been made by fans who got tired of waiting for the continuation. They have taken the unofficial sequel to the iconic adventure game 'Day of the Tentacle'. In this game they have done their best to capture the atmosphere and humor of the old classic and bring it into the XNUMXst century.

During the game's development, we will search for megalomaniacal tentacles, have strange conversations and we will have to solve crazy puzzles. Bernard, Hoagie and Laverne tour hand drawn places filled with elaborately animated characters and accompanied by music and atmospheric sounds. In addition to familiar faces from the original game, we will also meet during the game with special appearances of characters that belong to other games.

The argument of this new delivery has been that Purple Tentacle is back. Try to conquer the world and enslave humanity once again. The three friends from the first installment: Bernard, Laverne and Hoagie make their way back to the mansion of the mad scientist Dr. Fred. The group of peculiar friends have to derail the plans of the charismatic villain in a proposal that promises to also bring back the crazy conversations and strange puzzles of the original game.
