Today just a month ago, we did echo about a wallpaper contest. It was not an operating system, but a graphical environment, KDE to be more specific. The last version that included a new wallpaper was v5.16 (that of v5.17 is the same), but plasma 5.18 will arrive with many new features, among which we will have the bottom that you can see above these lines.
The name of the wallpaper is Volna and its creator is Nikita Babin. As you can see, something you can do better by seeing the images of this link, it is a background, say, "very Plasma", in the sense that, just by looking at it, KDE users can imagine in which graphical environment it will be used. This is only the second contest for KDE backgrounds, so we can already get an idea of what the images we have to submit are like if we want to win these competitions.
Volna, the Plasma 5.18 wallpaper
Like the background in Plasma 5.16, Volna is once again a representation of a natural landscape. The previous one was something like an ice sheet in the middle of the sea and the next one there is sea again, but in this case It is a beach. In both cases, the cuts are rigid and there are triangular shapes.
Nikita, as the winner of the contest, will take a computer TUXEDO Infinity Book 14, equipment that includes an Intel i7 processor and a battery that promises 12 hours of autonomy. When you receive it, the operating system that it will include will be Kubuntu and the graphical environment, how could it be otherwise, will be a Plasma 5.18 that will already have available the wallpaper that has made you win the contest.
Knowing the winner of the contest, the question is obliged: What do you think of the wallpaper of the next version of Plasma?
